The COVID-19 pandemic is the truly Global Event in the modern history of humankind. The whole world has found itself in an unprecedented situation. No one on the planet remains unaffected and spared by the Global Impact. There is an ongoing and unresolved debate among scientist and doctors about coronavirus infection, its treatment and anti-pandemic measures. The consensus on how to cope with the pandemic is missing on national as well as global level. Tho whole situation is complicated by a somewhat panic reaction of politicians leading to unfounded political decisions. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has evidently failed to coordinate all necessary actions and has offered rather inconclusive and confusing declarations and recommendations. Political and healthcare leaders are demonstrating a lack of a broader Global View. On the background of our day-to-day concerns, the more critical ecological and climate changes take place. Given all the social, political and economic turbulence due to the current pandemic, we desperately need a meaningful and generally acceptable Global Vision to be able to solve such severe issues on a global scale.
